Center for Professional and Applied Ethics at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, U.S.A
|
|
The Center for Professional and Applied Ethics at the University of North
Carolina at Charlotte, U.S.A., exists to increase the moral awareness and
ethical skills of professionals, students preparing for one of the major
professions, and faculty members. It also exists to provide ethics
education to the general public, for there is scarcely a topic of note that
does not require a morally reflective person to consider questions about
what makes a society and the individuals within it good. Among the Center's primary areas of ethical focus are biotechnology,
gerontology, health and human services, nursing, and public policy.
Increasingly the Center focuses on international as well as national public
policy related to bioethics in particular.
