Voice, Power and Responsibility in Health Care
Submitted by psy on Tue, 11/20/2007 - 22:18."The 7th World Congress of the International Network on Feminist Approaches to Bioethics (FAB) will be held in Rijeka, Croatia, on 3-5 September 2008. FAB Rijeka will be held in association with the 9th World Congress of the International Association of Bioethics (IAB).
We cordially invite proposals for panels and papers. The Congress theme is “Voice, Power and Responsibility in Health Care”. Papers on any topic in feminist bioethics are welcome, although the plenary sessions will be devoted to the Congress theme.

In a meeting report, she also wrote, "This third Congress of the IAB was important for its multinationality, participants from all five continents, multidisciplinarity, medical doctors, researchers in all fields of research, lawyers, ecologists, clergy, anthropologists, educators, advocacy groups leaders. All presentations and workshops reflected this mosaic.
2007 IAB Election results now available

Five (5) of new Board members come from Europe; two (2) from Latin America and the Caribbean; one (1) from East Asia; one (1) from North America; one (1) from Sub-Saharan Africa; one (1) from the Former Communist Countries of Europe; one (1) from Australia and the Pacific.
